23 including 9 children die in the Israeli bombing of Rafah town

Amid escalating tensions and atrocities committed by Israeli armed forces in the Gaza Strip, a series of new airstrikes rocked the region, further intensifying the act of genocide following the approval of a $26 billion military aid package for Israel by the US House of Representatives.

Tragically, the strikes resulted in the loss of innocent Palestinian lives in Rafah. According to reports from a nearby Kuwaiti hospital, a man, his wife, and their three-year-old child fell victim to the initial strike. In a subsequent attack, eight children and two women, all from the same family, perished, as reported by The Guardian.

The targeted area of Rafah, a frequent site of Israeli airstrikes, has seen a surge in violence, forcing many of the enclave’s 2.3 million residents to seek refuge.

Despite international appeals for restraint, including from Washington, Israel has declared its intention to expand its ground offensive in a town bordering Egypt.

The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas has exacted a devastating toll, with local officials reporting over 34,000 Palestinian casualties. The destruction of Gaza’s two largest cities and the displacement of approximately 80 percent of the population underscore the magnitude of the crisis.

Furthermore, experts warn of an imminent humanitarian catastrophe, with residents of the enclave teetering on the brink of starvation.

The latest airstrikes serve as a grim reminder of the urgent need for diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions and address the underlying grievances fueling the conflict.
