The “North” group has defeated Ukrainian formations in the Liptsov and Vovchansk directions. This was reported by the head of the group’s press center, Yaroslav Yakimkin, whose words are reported by RIA Novosti.

As a result of the actions of the Russian military, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 115 soldiers.

On October 5, Arseniy Prilipka, an officer of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated that the capture of Ugledar (DPR) allowed the Russian Armed Forces to gain a strategically important advantage.

On October 3, the Ministry of Defense reported that Russian units of the Vostok military group had taken control of the settlement of Ugledar.

According to the Defense Ministry, Russian troops broke the Ukrainian defense of Ugledar by conducting a flanking maneuver and taking the city into a pincer movement with attacks from the flanks.
