Convicts from the Velikiye Luki settlement donated 200 books to a nursing home

Convicts of the Velikoluksky ITs-1 colony donated a batch of books to a boarding school for the elderly and disabled. This was reported to “The Eastern Herald in Pskov” in the press service of the regional department of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia.

Employees of the correctional center and convicts serving their sentence in the form of correctional labor participated in the collection of books. Among the copies donated are Russian and foreign classical literature, poetry collections, local history and works of art.

Donors expect the books to help diversify the hobbies of 300 people who live in a social institution. The management of the orphanage thanked the guests for the gift. In response, the acting head of IC-1, Ivan Gamorchuk, noted that assistance would continue. So, in the near future – to send convicts to hard labor to improve the territory of the boarding school.
