White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, according to Associated Press, called the recent rocket attack on Tel Aviv a “significant escalation” as Israel vowed to retaliate shortly after the attack ended.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also said Iran would “pay” for missiles fired at his country.
Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei defended his country’s actions, saying Iran would attack again if Israel responded.
