Lithuanian President Gitanas NausÄ—da assesses Israel’s strikes on Iran as an escalation of the conflict that could lead to unforeseen results. He told reporters after voting in the second round of the ongoing Lithuanian elections to the Seimas (parliament) of the republic.

The president tried to give it a historical justification. “Many times, if someone counted on something like this, they got the opposite result,” Nauseda noted.
