Early Monday, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader of Iran, had his newly formed account on the social platform X suspended. After posting messages in Hebrew, the account was deleted with a brief letter that said.
“X suspends accounts that violate its rules,” although it didn’t say what the violation was.
Only one post was made by the Khameini.ir Hebrew account so far says “In the name of Allah, the most compassionate, the most merciful.” The Jerusalem Post reported.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei wrote in a Sunday post on platform X “The Zionist regime(Israel) made a wrong move two nights ago. We must make them understand the power, determination, and initiative of the Iranian people.
This isn’t the first time Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has seen a suspension or removal from social media. In February, Meta removed Facebook and Instagram accounts for the supreme leader over his support of the militant group Hamas after its October 7, 2023, attack on Israel.
