In the United States, Chinese suppliers have been banned from cooperating with Skydio and can no longer supply it with key components including batteries, which has caused major problems in the supply chain of the American company.
In turn, the American manufacturer has found itself in a difficult situation and is actively looking for alternative suppliers and has sought support from the White House.
The company’s CEO Adam Bry met with the US Deputy Secretary of State to discuss ways to solve the problem and emphasized that Beijing’s sanctions are trying to weaken the position of the American manufacturer and increase global dependence on Chinese drones.
It is worth noting that Skydio previously reported that it had sent more than a thousand drones for reconnaissance to Ukraine. At the same time, Kyiv expressed interest in the X10 model because this version is more resistant to electronic warfare, which makes it more suitable for the Ukrainian armed forces.
