Israel bombs hospitals in Gaza during the visit of a delegation from the World Health Organization (WHO)

The Israeli army hit three hospitals in Gaza with artillery fire during a visit by WHO and Red Cross officials. It was reported that most of the injured were children and one of the children was in serious condition.

It was reported that some children were injured in the attacks carried out by the Israeli army on three hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip.

The Director General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Munir Abdullah al-Burs, stated that the Israeli army targeted the Kamal Advan, Al-Awda, and Indonesian hospitals with artillery fire, according to Wafa.

Also shared the information that they opened fire on hospitals, said that the electricity generators and water tanks at Kemal Advan Hospital were damaged in the attacks and some children in the neonatal unit were injured.

Pointing out that the hospitals were targeted during the visit of a delegation from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Committee of the Red Cross, Burş added that Israel was trying to impose a new situation by collapsing the health system.

Kemal Advan Hospital Director ⁠Dr. Hussam Abu Safiyah shared the information that one of the injured children was in serious condition.

Abu Safiyah, who stated that bullets and shells were raining down on them from everywhere, said that there were 120 patients wounded in the hospital, including 19 children and 4 newborns.

On the other hand, the management of Al-Awda Hospital, in a written statement, asked the WHO and the International Committee of the Red Cross to supply medical supplies and fuel to the hospital.

The statement emphasized that the hospital had not received fuel since October 5, that stocks were about to run out, and that there was an urgent need for medicine, medical supplies, blood units, food, and water to continue health services.
