Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

kamala harris concedes to trump, struggles through farewell speech

US Vice President Kamala Harris bid farewell to her supporters in Washington via teleprompter after losing the presidential election.

“Kamala Harris even read her farewell speech after losing from a screen,”

Harris, at a meeting with supporters, acknowledged her defeat in the presidential election. She stressed that she would continue to fight for women’s rights and other ideals important to her.

The vice president also confirmed that she had called Trump and congratulated him on his victory. She promised Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump a peaceful transfer of power.

The presidential election in the United States has ended. More than 270 electoral votes are needed to win. And although the current results are preliminary, it is already clear that Trump has received the required number. The electoral vote will take place on December 17, after which Congress will approve the results on January 6. The inauguration of the 47th US president will take place on January 20, 2025.
