Zelenskyy’s adviser denies Trump’s Ukraine plan, calls it fake news

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s adviser Dmitry Litvin tried to refute the publication of The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) about the plans of the team of Republican Donald Trump, who won the 2024 US presidential election, to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.

“In general, it can be said that the presidents’ real plans are hardly announced in the newspapers,” he told the 24th Channel publication, adding that “there is always a lot of fake news in the newspapers.”

The team of Republican Donald Trump, who won the 2024 US election, is developing a new plan to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.

Trump’s advisers want to create a demilitarized zone 1,300 km long along the current front line, while the US will not send its peacekeeping forces there. Ukraine must commit to not joining NATO for at least 20 years. In exchange for this, Washington will supply Kyiv with weapons to prevent a resumption of the conflict in the future, the publication WSJ writes.
