Trump trying to deport 1.3 million migrants revealed

The team of US President-elect Donald Trump may close two immigration programs of the current White House administration Joe Biden, after which more than 1.3 million legal migrants will be deported from the country.

This outcome is possible because these migrants entered the United States legally but have not yet received asylum.

The first to be deported may be people who pose a threat. These may include Chinese nationals of military age who are on American soil.

Trump said on NBC that he had no choice but to fulfill his campaign promise to mass deport migrants.

According to CNBC, “If Trump cancels the CHNV parole program, what does that mean for people who are already here to revoke their parole? We expect that to be legally difficult.”

Over 531,0000 nationals of Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela have entered the U.S. through the CHNV parole program, which was created to allow migrants from those countries to apply for entry from their home countries with the help of a U.S.-based sponsor.

Over 852,000 migrants have entered through CBP One, a cellphone application program for migrants who have already left their home countries and are waiting in northern Mexico. Through the app, they can apply for an appointment to be considered for asylum, though they do not necessarily qualify.

The 2024 US presidential election took place on November 5. The post was contested by Democratic Party candidate Kamala Harris and Republican Party representative Donald Trump. To win, one of the politicians had to receive at least 270 electoral votes. Trump received 295 votes in the election.
