President-elect Donald Trump is expected to announce in the coming days that Stephen Miller, his top immigration adviser, will serve as White House deputy chief of staff for policy, two sources familiar with the plans told media.
According to CNN, his information, the appointment will be announced in the coming days. Miller, as a senior adviser to Trump during his first presidential term (2017-2021), dealt largely with immigration issues and advocated for a tougher immigration policy. In particular, the television company calls him “the leading architect” of Trump’s plans for the mass expulsion of illegal immigrants from the country.
Earlier, Trump appointed one of his campaign managers, Susan Wiles, as the chief of staff for the White House staff in his administration. As the Associated Press noted, Wiles is respected in Trump’s inner circle, since the past election campaign was “the most disciplined and well-executed.” Wiles tries not to advertise her achievements.
“Any activists who doubt President Trump’s resolve in the slightest are making a drastic error: Trump will unleash the vast arsenal of federal powers to implement the most spectacular migration crackdown,”
