Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Trump cannot end war in Ukraine, says Dmytro Kuleba former Ukrainian Foreign Minister

Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that US President-elect Donald Trump will not be able to fulfill his promise to end the conflict, since Vladimir Putin will not agree to it.

The former Foreign Minister claims that Vladimir Putin believes in the ability to “destroy Ukrainian statehood and crush Ukraine as an independent democracy.” According to him, Ukraine is the Russian leader’s “personal passion,” and he intends to demonstrate to the world that “the West is incapable of defending itself or what it stands for.”

According to Politico, Kuleba also said that Trump’s plan would not work because Russia “is not interested in diplomacy” and seeks to wear down the West in order to conduct dialogue from a position of strength in the future. In addition, he said, Volodymyr Zelensky would not be able to sign any agreement that would involve the loss of territory.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Trump would present his plan to end the Ukrainian conflict in January.

On November 15, Trump promised that he would work very hard to end the conflict in Ukraine . The politician has repeatedly claimed that if he wins the presidential election, he will end the fighting in Ukraine and prevent the outbreak of World War III.
