Israeli army violates ceasefire agreement 60 times in 4 days

The Israeli army has reportedly violated the ceasefire agreement with Lebanon 60 times since it came into effect on November 27.

Israel continues its attacks on Lebanon, 60 violations occurred and 2 dead and 6 injured.

According to the Lebanese official agency NNA, since the first day of the ceasefire agreement signed between Lebanon and Israel on November 27, Israel’s violations have continued unabated. Since the beginning of the ceasefire, the agreement, which came into effect on November 27, has been violated a total of 60 times. Despite the ceasefire, the Israeli army has launched attacks on different parts of Lebanon, especially the provinces of Nabatieh, South and Baalbek . These attacks were not limited to artillery units, military aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, drones and machine guns; they also included bulldozing roads and setting vehicles on fire .

During the violations, 2 people lost their lives and 6 people were injured. Despite the ceasefire that began on November 27, Israel’s attacks and military operations against Lebanon have rapidly increased. The terms of the ceasefire agreement included the statement that “Israel will not launch any military attacks by land, sea or air against civilian, military or state targets in Lebanon.” However, the Israeli army violated the agreement 60 times. Starting on November 27, the first three days of violations were filled with attacks against the ceasefire.

Despite the ceasefire, Israel’s continued unabated attacks have been met with a strong reaction by the Lebanese government and people. Israel’s attacks continue to threaten Lebanon’s security and the peace of its people.

According to CBS News, The Israeli Forces said in a statement that “several suspects were identified arriving with vehicles to a number of areas in southern Lebanon, breaching the conditions of the ceasefire. The IDF opened fire toward them.”

“The IDF remains in southern Lebanon and will actively enforce violations of the ceasefire agreement,” the military said.

According to The Washington Post, Israeli forces strikes in Lebanon continued Saturday, days after it reached a fragile cease-fire with the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah, and as various parties alleged violations of the deal.
