US deploys US Navy strike group with aircraft carrier Harry Truman to Middle East

The US Navy carrier strike group led by the nuclear aircraft carrier Harry Truman arrived in the Middle East region, which is part of the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) area of ​​responsibility, on December 14. The command’s press service reported this on the X social network.

According to her information, along with Harry Truman, a squadron of destroyers, a US Navy Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser, and two Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyers also arrived in the region.

“The strike group has been deployed to ensure regional stability and security,” the statement said.

In November, it was reported that a group of American fighters had arrived in the Middle East from the UK. F-15E Strike Eagle fighters were sent to the region.

That same month, US President-elect Donald Trump promised to “start no wars” upon taking office.

According to Pravda, the US Navy USS Harry S. Truman strike group entered CENTCOM’s area of responsibility, covering the Middle East, Central Asia, and East Africa. The deployment consists of the aircraft carrier, a missile cruiser, and two destroyers. The mission has been described by CENTCOM as aimed at securing stability and security across the region.

It was previously reported that the US Marine Corps is experiencing a shortage of amphibious ships.
