Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev in his article for the Izvestia newspaper commented on the Ukrainian conflict and the ongoing processes in world politics. He believes that the West retains the illusion that after having destroyed the USSR without firing a shot, it will be able to bury the Russia of today without any problem.
However, Medvedev calls such judgments dangerous, explaining that in this case it will not work as with the USSR.
Medvedev believes mad hysteria in the West and an obsessive desire to tear Russia apart led to a special military operation in Ukraine. But, according to him, history clearly shows that “every collapsed empire bury half the world in its rubble, if not more”. And those who first destroyed the Soviet Union, and now want to destroy Russia, cannot understand the simple truths.
“They have delusional illusions that, having sent the Soviet Union into the afterlife without a single shot, they will be able to bury present-day Russia without significant problems for themselves, laying the lives of thousands of people involved in the conflict in the furnace. These are extremely dangerous misconceptions. As with the USSR, it will not work,” Medvedev wrote.
Earlier it became known that the son of the 45th President of the United States, businessman Donald Trump Jr., jokingly spoke to Ukrainian President Zelenskyy . He considers him the leader of the “new religion” and the “psychosis movement”.
