A third of parents in Pskov are convinced that teenagers should start earning from the age of 14

32% of parents in Pskov are sure that teenagers can start earning money from the age of 14, after receiving a passport. This was reported to MK in Pskov by the press service of the job search service SuperJob.

One in four parents sets the age bar higher – from 16 years old. 4% of parents say the lower limit for starting work is 12, and 5% say 12-13.

18% are sure that entering the labor market is only possible after reaching the age of majority, ie after 18 years. And 9% are absolutely sure that children and adolescents do not need to work until they have found a profession.

In terms of gender, fathers are more likely to talk about the eligibility of early employment (up to age 15), while mothers are more likely to talk about a later start (from age 16+ ). Those who are sure that one must first have a job and only then start working are also slightly more numerous among women (12% against 7% among men).
