Trump says Taliban are selling US weapons to Russia and China

According to Donald Trump, the radical Taliban movement (a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation) sells weapons left behind by the American army in Afghanistan. The former US president claims some of the samples ended up in Russia and China. Trump said so at the annual conference of conservative circles in the District of Columbia.

“They’re selling all the great new gear that we gave them. Apache helicopters, the best in the world, they gave one to Russia, one to China… They’re going to take them apart and copy them… because that they are actually very smart,” the ex-president said.

According to Trump, after the withdrawal of the American contingent, 70,000 pieces of American-made equipment and 700,000 pieces of small arms remained in Afghanistan. Many of them were new.
