VEB.RF will invest 4 billion rubles in the construction of the port of Lavna

The State Development Corporation will allocate 4 billion rubles for the construction of the Lavna port in the Murmansk region. The first 550 million have already been transferred.

On Tuesday, April 18, the press service of the State Development Corporation of Russia (VEB.RF) announced the allocation of funds for the construction of the Lavna coal transshipment complex in the Murmansk region.

Thus, the organization will allocate 4 billion rubles for the creation of the port. It is specified that the first installment of 550 million has already been paid. The funds will be used to carry out construction, installation and commissioning work.

It should be noted that the launch of Lavna is planned for the end of 2023. In 2024, the transshipment of coal for export will begin there. Today, the port’s construction readiness is 61%.

Recall, earlier “The Eastern Herald in Murmansk” said that Finland is building a fence between its territory and the Murmansk region.
