The FSB reported an attempt by the SBU to recruit the first deputy minister of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the DPR

Agents of the Security Service of Ukraine tried to recruit the first deputy head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Dmitry Kostamin. Threatening to deal with his wife, the agents demanded that the official hand over classified information to Kiev. This was reported in the regional department of the Federal Security Service of Russia.

“The FSB of Russia for the Donetsk People’s Republic prevented an attempt to recruit the first deputy minister of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the DPR by representatives of the department of the SBU for the Kharkiv region under threat of life and the health of his wife,” the department told TASS.

The department said Ukrainian security forces detained the deputy minister’s wife in Kharkiv, where she arrived for her mother’s funeral. Employees of the Russian special services managed to free the woman, she left the territory of Ukraine.

Previously, the FSB prevented an assassination attempt against the mayor of Gorlovka, Ivan Prikhodko. The perpetrator of the failed murder Artem Pyzin was recruited by the Security Service of Ukraine.
