Correction of deaths raises questions

April 20, 2020

After a “technical” correction, the official number of people who died from the coronavirus in Wuhan is suddenly 50 percent higher. There are good reasons for the wrong number. The credibility problem is somewhere else.

The Chinese authorities reported on Friday that 3,869 people had died of coronavirus-related lung disease COVID-19 in Wuhan City. That is 1290 more than was previously announced. This increases the official number of deceased in one fell swoop by almost half. After the signs that more people have died than deported have accumulated in recent weeks, that sounds like a tangible scandal. Did the communist regime try to hide something?
