Republican congressmen cancel their support for Trump before the new vote

After tonight’s violent protests in Washington, several congressmen who come from the ranks of the Republicans decided to allow a peaceful transfer of power, that is, to accept the results of the elections according to which the Democrat Joe Biden won.

The last of them is the congressman from Washington, Cathy McMorris Rodgers.

She, as CNN writes, stated that she would change her position on challenging the election results.

–  We must have a peaceful transfer of power. The only reason for my objection was to express concern that the governors and courts had unilaterally changed the electoral procedures without the will of the people and outside the legislative process. What we saw today is illegal and unacceptable – she said.

She also called on Donald Trump to “condemn and stop this madness.”
