Turkish Ministry of Defense: 14 YPG terrorists neutralized in northern Syria.

The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the neutralization of 14 PKK / YBK terrorists in the areas of Operation Peace Spring and Euphrates Shield in northern Syria.

This came in a tweet published by the ministry, on Saturday, on its Twitter account.

The ministry stated that attempts to attack the “Peace Spring” and “Euphrates Shield” areas have been successfully prevented.

It indicated that 12 PKK / YBK terrorists had been neutralized while trying to target the “Peace Spring” area.

And confirmed that its forces were also able to neutralize two terrorists who tried to infiltrate into the “Euphrates Shield” area.

Through Operation Euphrates Shield, which it launched on August 24, 2016, the Turkish army was able to clear 2,055 square kilometers of land in northern Syria from terrorist elements.

The scope of the operation included areas in the northern countryside of the Aleppo governorate, including many cities and towns, including the cities of Jarablus and Al-Bab.


Meanwhile, the Turkish army, with the participation of the Syrian National Army, launched on October 9, 2019, Operation Peace Spring, east of the Euphrates River, to purify it of the “YBK / PKK” and “ISIS” terrorist organizations and create a safe zone for the return of Syrian refugees to Their country.

The Turkish army suspended the operation on the 17th of the same month after Ankara and Washington reached an agreement to withdraw terrorists from the region, followed by an agreement with Russia in Sochi on the 22nd of the same month.
