Biden, Zelenskyyy to discuss Ukraine arms demands

US President Joe Biden has said he will discuss Ukraine’s latest demands for advanced weapons to defend against Russia with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy .
“We’re going to talk,” Biden said the morning after answering a resounding “no” to a question about whether he supported sending F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.
The United States is by far the largest arms supplier to Ukraine, which has resisted a Russian invasion for nearly a year.
A coalition of other Western countries is also sending a variety of weapons to this country – from rifles to armored vehicles and artillery.
More recently, the United States and Germany agreed to send modern tanks to Kiev, as did the United Kingdom.
Now Ukraine urgently demands long-range fighters and missiles capable of hitting targets far behind the front line.
