A total of three such sports facilities should be opened this year in the Khabarovsk Territory.
Arena “Erofey” in Khabarovsk is gradually becoming the center of sports life in the capital of the region. Around the stadium, which townspeople are accustomed to perceive only as the arena of the legendary SKA-Neftyanik, an infrastructure is gradually appearing that allows you to practice various sports at a qualitatively new level. Meet the new hockey box, on the northwest side of the stadium, as part of a “smart” sports field (so far in quotes).

However, it is more correct to call this box – universal. It is still cold outside, residents of the neighboring microdistrict ride here, and the younger generation of SKA trains. In the summer, it will be transformed into football and volleyball courts. A little later, weight machines and athletic treadmills will also open. What was innovative here was explained by the Minister of Sports of the Khabarovsk Territory, who did not hesitate to put on skates and try very high quality ice.
– This is a multi-functional and well-equipped Wi-Fi exercise area, so that each visitor can create an individual workout and monitor the accuracy of exercises. A QR code will be installed on each simulator, by scanning it you can get information about the projectile, as well as instructions for performing exercises. Now, on the territory adjacent to the Erofey Arena, we have opened the first part of our “smart” site. The installation of the second stage will begin in the spring, and in June the installation will be ready to receive all fans of a healthy and active lifestyle,” said Dmitry Chikunov, Minister of Sports of the Khabarovsk Territory.

Such “smart” sites are popping up across the country and as part of the “Business Sprint (I Choose Sports)” project. There are plans to open three similar sports facilities in the region. The first is here, on Vakhova. The second is also in Khabarovsk, at the stadium of school No. 52. He will focus more on summer sports. And the third – in Komsomolsk-on-Amur at the Ivan Tregubov sports and health complex.

It will cost the region nothing – an additional 78 million rubles from the federal budget have been allocated to the region for the construction of smart sports facilities. In 2024, additional distribution of funds is planned, and the Khabarovsk Territory may receive several more smart sites.

In general, you need to train not only in the arena, but also on the street, because, for example, if you go to some competitions in another city, this team does not always have indoor ice. The ice is really good, and it’s no surprise – the site is under the patronage of the regional bandy school and its surface was covered by the most experienced ice makers, those who create ice for matches super league teams in Yerofey, and previously filled in Neftyanik.
