The Turkish town of Kadirli was not affected by the earthquake

February 17, 2023, 6:25 p.m. – Public Information Service – TEH – In the Turkish province of Osmaniye, the town of Kadirli, which was not affected by the earthquakes, was discovered. This was announced on Friday February 17 by the Demiroren agency.

According to the report, the city is located about 100 kilometers from the epicenter of the main quake.

It should be noted that local residents also felt tremors during the seismological activity, however, not a single building in Kadirli was damaged except for minor damage.

There are also no victims among the local population. In this regard, residents of the affected cities began to come to town.

Recall that on February 6, two major earthquakes occurred in Turkey. They were felt in 8 to 10 provinces. According to the latest data, the number of victims exceeds 38,000 people.

Earlier, the mayor of the Turkish city of Erzin Okkesh Elmasoglu, who survived the earthquakes, told how he managed to save the whole city. According to him, the fact is that he remained true to his principles when issuing permits for the construction of buildings in the city.
