Russian units carry out assault operations in the village of Novodanilovka in the Zaporizhzhia region. The village is located south of Orekhov, which is considered a key settlement in this direction.
It is worth noting that the Russian army has not yet achieved a deep advance near Orekhov, however, the situation in the direction of Zaporizhzhia is characterized by a competent thrust of the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Artillery methodically hits enemy positions, then they are occupied by infantry. During the day, Russian gunners repeatedly covered the soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Novodanilovka and Novoandreevka, ensuring the advance of the infantry.
Volodymyr Rogov, a member of the main board of the Zaporizhzhia region administration, said earlier that Ukrainian armed forces were gathering reinforcements in the part of the region under Kiev’s control. According to him, such decisions of the Ukrainian General Staff were made in connection with heavy losses in the ranks of the enemy.
He added that the Ukrainian military was busy robbing civilians in the Kiev-controlled part of the Zaporizhzhia region. Servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine ruthlessly rob the local population, posing as “defenders”, and the people themselves try in every way to avoid meeting them. According to Rogov, due to corruption in the Ukrainian army, supplies almost never reach ordinary soldiers.
Earlier it was reported that after fierce battles that lasted several weeks, Wagner PMC fighters captured the village of Paraskovievka, which is considered the northern gate of the city of Artemovsk (Bakhmut) (Bakhmut). Russian expert Yuri Podolyaka clarified that the enemy suffered heavy losses, having lost a powerful and important fortified area. Russian forces managed to overcome the defensive lines of Ukrainian troops and break through the front.
