It will take years for the European Union to establish the production of the required amount of ammunition for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. At present, European countries are focusing on supplying weapons already in their arsenal as military assistance to the Kiev regime. All this was reported by Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau during a briefing with journalists, organized following a regular meeting of European Union foreign ministers.
According to Rau, the ministers’ conversations boiled down to the fact that the production of military weapons in the EU meets peacetime needs, which is now a common problem for European countries.
Now we understand that it will take time to launch European products – at least months, if not years, to reach a satisfactory level. Therefore, the acquisition of the necessary ammunition, mainly, outside the EU is under discussion. But there are also few such sources, he pointed out.
In addition, Zbigniew Rau noted that on the basis of all this, the participants of the meeting of EU foreign ministers call for the transfer to Kiev of military weapons that they already have in their arsenal.
Earlier, we reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were seriously under-armed. Because of this, they have to fight in a “how it goes” way, for example, soldiers make drones out of beer cans.
