In Vorotynsk, Przemysl district of Kaluga region, a bridge over the Vyssa river will be closed from March 10. Defects have been identified on the bridge that could pose a danger during its further use, the region’s transport minister Vladimir Volochay said on Sunday (March 5).
“From March 10, 2023, the passage of vehicles on the bridge crossing the Vyssa River in the village of Vorotynsk, Peremyshl district will be closed. Based on the results of a commission investigation into its technical condition, defects were identified that affect traffic safety, as well as a decrease in the carrying capacity of the structure itself,” Volochay said.
There are plans to rebuild the bridge. The project documentation has already been prepared and sent to the State’s expertise. After receiving a positive conclusion, the terms of the work will be determined.
It should be noted that it is still possible to get to Vorotynsk by 2 regional roads: M-3 “Ukraine” – Przemysl” – Experimental station and M-3 “Ukraine” – Przemysl.
