Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

346 million rubles will be allocated to initiative projects in the Kaluga region

In the Kaluga region, it is planned to allocate 346 million rubles to initiative projects. Since 2007, initiative budgeting has been implemented in Russian regions – a mechanism that allows for the rapid resolution of acute social problems at the local level, according to the residents themselves, reports the press service of the Kaluga government.

Initiative budgeting aims to involve citizens in the management of their territories. Since 2015, this project has covered 51 topics in the country. In the Kaluga region, the Ministry of Finance has been implementing the program since 2017.

Of the 346 million rubles allocated to the Kaluga region, 252 million rubles come from the regional budget, 76 million from local budgets and 18 million from the population and sponsors.

In 2022, 288 million rubles were allocated for these purposes from all sources.

In addition, a youth direction of initiative projects has also started in the Kaluga region – the implementation of school initiatives. Every year, 50 million rubles are allocated in the budget for this purpose.
