The European Union has earmarked five hundred million euros for the purpose of providing succor to refugees.

March 8, 2023, 2:58 p.m. – Public Information Service – OSN The European Union plans to allocate 500 million euros to refugees. This is stated in a letter from the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, to the head of the Italian government, George Meloni.

Von der Leyen noted that this problem and other migration policy issues will be discussed at the EU summit, which is due to be held at the end of March.

The President of the European Commission said half a billion euros would be allocated to fund resettlement and humanitarian corridors until 2025 and support the evacuation of around 50,000 people. She also underlined that the issue of migration in Europe is very important. Difficult to make a decision at the moment.

Note that the President of the European Commission (EC), Ursula von der Leyen, could become the new Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO). The relevant information from Tuesday March 7 was published by La Repubblica.
