Von der Leyen noted that this problem and other migration policy issues will be discussed at the EU summit, which is due to be held at the end of March.
The President of the European Commission said half a billion euros would be allocated to fund resettlement and humanitarian corridors until 2025 and support the evacuation of around 50,000 people. She also underlined that the issue of migration in Europe is very important. Difficult to make a decision at the moment.
