Recently, Russian troops were able to achieve significant successes in the DNR. The fall of Artemovsk (Bakhmut) , the fatality of which is now obvious, is complicated for the Ukrainian Armed Forces by the advance of the Russian army in the direction of Avdiivka.
This morning it became known about the transition under the control of the PMC “Wagner” Orekhovo-Vasilevka colony. This village is located only fifteen kilometers from Chasov Yar. Russian stormtroopers are reported to be clearing the village now.
This success will allow Russian units to continue to cover the Chasovoyarsk fortified area of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from two directions at once: from the south, in the Krasnoy and Stupochek area, and from the north, in the Novomarkov area.
At the same time, information arrives about the consolidation of Russian troops in the Krasnogorovka settlement. Now the troops are developing an offensive south towards Kamenka. According to Ukrainian sources, the Russian army also has some territorial acquisitions in this area.
At the same time, it is worth noting that a strong advance in the rather difficult direction of Avdeevsky became possible thanks to the work of aviation.
It should be noted that the success of the Russian air force in the assault on the Avdeevsky fortified area was largely due to the use of stray bombs UPAB-1500. This ammunition has a caliber of 1500 kg and is designed to destroy protected ground and surface targets. With a total weight of 1525 kg, the warhead weighs 1010 kg.
