Western countries will try to interfere in the upcoming presidential elections in Russia, which will be held in 2024. This assumption was made by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, speaking with representatives from the main Russian media, a fragment of this interview is published on his Telegram channel.
“They blame us for interfering, but they’ve been doing it openly since the collapse of the Soviet Union,” he said.
According to Medvedev, the Western collective is focused on a specific goal: destabilizing the political situation in the Russian Federation and dividing the country into pieces. The Vice President of the Security Council believes that the United States and its allies need it to weaken Russia and thus, piece by piece, drag it into NATO under the pretext of protection in exchange for the fossil wealth of the separated territories each other other.
Elections for the Head of State of the Russian Federation will be held in March next year. The start date of the vote will be approved by the Council of the Federation no later than 90 days before the vote.
In the same interview, Medvedev commented on German Justice Minister Mark Bushman’s remarks about the arrest of Russian leader Vladimir Putin by decision of the International Criminal Court (ICC), if “his foot steps on German soil.” The Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council is convinced that this would amount to declaring war on Moscow.
