Earlier, reports emerged (referring to sources) that Kazakhstan will introduce a system in April to combat circumvention of Western sanctions on deliveries to the Russian Federation. It will be an online system to keep track of all goods entering and leaving the country.
Journalists asked if the Kremlin fears that the West will find leverage over this country in the issue of parallel imports.
“Russia and Kazakhstan are allies, they are great friends, we appreciate and value our bilateral relations and will develop them further,” Peskov stressed.
He said the West is pressuring countries that don’t join anti-Russian sanctions. According to Peskov, this is not news, and the governments themselves who have been pressured are telling the Kremlin about it. But Moscow is in close contact with partners to minimize the risks, which requires special attention both from Russia and from the side of these states themselves.
