Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy sent a message to the Muslims of Ukraine on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan, addressing them in Arabic, saying: “Ramadan Mubarak.”
He continued, “A large part of our people are Muslims and many of them are under Russian oppression. We will liberate the Muslims of Ukraine from Russian occupation and oppression.”
May the power of prayer in this holy month of Ramadan help us cleanse Ukraine of Russian godless evil, of those who truly believe in nothing, and that is why they are capable of such terror. Let the next Ramadan begin in peace and on the entire Ukrainian land free from Russia. pic.twitter.com/ukzhncJ3Tg

Zelinsky added in his speech: “I hope that the prayers of Muslims in the month of Ramadan will be a reason to make our victory soon. I hope that the next month of Ramadan will come and all our lands will be liberated.”
The Supreme Military Authority of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also published a video clip on its official pages on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan, in which it congratulates the Muslims working in its armed forces on the advent of the holy month.
In the clip, a Ukrainian Muslim (Ismail Kurt Omar) appeared, saying “Allah is the Greatest” and singing in a sweet voice. This vocalist is a Muslim from Crimea, and he officially works in the Ukrainian armed forces.
And the Ukrainian leadership wrote, “Ramadan begins, a holy month for all Muslims in the world. About two million Muslims live in Ukraine, and there are more than 300 mosques and prayer houses, 90 Muslim schools and 7 universities.”
“During the war, about 700,000 Muslims found themselves in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian lands, 300,000 became immigrants,” she said, and stated that “a large number of mosques and prayer houses were destroyed by Russian missiles and shells.”
The leadership said: “Currently, in every battalion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Muslims who are fighting for the freedom and independence of Ukraine serve for their homeland.”
