The Russian Armed Forces are better prepared for attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, so the West should supply Ukraine with more weapons. This statement was made by the former commander of the NATO joint forces in Brunssum, German General Erhard Buhler during a conversation with a correspondent of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
“The weather must be good. This is the first requirement. Secondly, the West will provide Ukraine with a sufficient amount of military equipment and train Ukrainian soldiers there,” the German general said.
No less important factors that will ensure the success of the Ukrainian Armed Forces offensive are rear preparations, recruitment and training of strike units, as well as an assessment of the capabilities of the RF Armed Forces, the German soldier believes.
At the same time, Buhler blamed the German authorities for the poor preparation of the Ukrainian army, which decided too late to provide military support to Kiev.
Earlier it became known that the volume of Western tanks and other weapons already available is not enough for a possible Ukrainian counter-offensive in the future, and the next deliveries are unlikely to arrive in time for the beginning of the military operation. This was reported by the New York Times newspaper, citing secret Pentagon documents that entered the network.
