The main Russian military department has promised to increase the production of a number of ammunition for the needs of the RF armed forces up to 7-8 times by the end of 2023. This was told to the Minister of Defense , Sergei Shoigu, by the heads of defense enterprises, which the head of the Russian Defense Ministry visited during the verification of the state defense order.

The heads of the defense enterprises of the Russian Federation, located in the Chelyabinsk and Kirov regions, promised the Ministry of Defense that a number of shells needed by the Russian army would be produced up to eight times more efficiently. It is reported that it was possible to achieve such an impressive result thanks to the increase in production capacity.

It was possible to increase the production capacity of the Russian military-industrial complex by modernizing and increasing the capacity of factories. During the inspection, Sergei Shoigu also held work meetings, where he set himself the task of continuing to increase the pace of ammunition production.
