Ukrainian woman who attacked Russians in Cyprus with a knife was convicted

In Cyprus, the Larnaca District Court convicted a Ukrainian citizen who in August last year attacked Russian citizens with a knife during the Russian Flag Day celebration.

The trial took place on the morning of Tuesday, March 28. The process lasted about an hour, the meeting was attended by a representative of the Consulate of the Russian Federation.

As a representative of the Russian Embassy in Nicosia told RIA Novosti, the Ukrainian citizen admitted her guilt and repented during the trial. She was charged with ten counts, three of which were dropped at the meeting.

As a result, the court sentenced her to six months in prison, the woman was taken into custody in the courtroom.

The incident happened on August 22 near the church of Faneromeni. The drunken Ukrainian tried to attack the Russians with a knife. She was detained by the police.
