Captain Valery Bochkov, a lecturer at the Academy of the Interior Ministry, was taken on his last trip to Volgograd. He died in action, as part of a special operation in Ukraine, writes Volgograd Online.
His wife Anastasia said her husband joined the army when he was 18 and worked in the military all his life. In January 2023, he volunteered and joined a Russian private military company (PMC).
Bochkov was a sniper and saw action in that role. He died on March 12, just three days after his birthday. According to the V1.ru portal, his group came under mortar fire. The widow said they had been married for 18 years and had two minor children. They managed to get married before Bochkov went on a business trip.

In addition, as part of a special military operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, Aidar Galimsarov, mobilized from the Perm Territory, also died. He left behind a wife and two children at home.

On February 24, a special military operation began on the territory of Ukraine, the main objectives of which are the demilitarization and denazification of the country. According to Russian leader Vladimir Putin, this step is necessary to protect the inhabitants of the Donbas republics and ensure the security of the Russian Federation.
