The embassy of the European Union in Sudan was attacked, declared the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, on his Twitter account. He condemned the attack as a flagrant violation of the Vienna Convention. Borrell also noted that ensuring the security of diplomatic premises and personnel is the primary responsibility of the Sudanese authorities and an obligation under international law.
Recall that on April 15, hostilities began between the army and the rapid reaction forces in the Sudanese capital. On the first day of the military coup, 25 people died. It was later learned that as a result of the fighting, three employees of the United Nations World Food Program had been killed.
