The State of Qatar has renewed its firm position on the justice of the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, especially their right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent, viable Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. This came in the statement of the State of Qatar delivered by HE Dr. Hind Abdulrahman Al-Muftah, Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar in Geneva, during the general debate on "Human rights situation in Palestine and other occupied Arab territories" Within the framework of the 52nd session of the Council. Her Excellency the Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar in Geneva expressed her condemnation of the massive and systematic Israeli attacks, crimes and violations committed against the Palestinian people for decades, during which Israel, the occupying power, sought to consolidate its settlement and racist policies, and provide the appropriate environment for their implementation by confiscating Palestinian property and demolishing Their homes and forced displacement, the protection of extremist settlers, the attempt to Judaize the city of Jerusalem, change its identity and demographic composition, and the violation of the sanctity of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, which constitutes a clear violation of international laws. Her Excellency strongly condemned the statements made by Israeli officials from time to time, the latest of which was the statements of the Israeli Minister of Finance, in which he denied the existence of the Palestinian people and the Palestinian state, and his use of a map of Israel that includes the borders of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the occupied Palestinian territories, which is a flagrant violation of international norms and covenants, and an explicit expression of The racist and extremist Israeli plans and policies that Israel believes in and seeks to achieve, which will ultimately lead to the destruction of the two-state solution and the failure of the future of the peace process and efforts to reach a just, lasting and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian cause. It called on the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities by obliging Israel to respect the resolutions of international legitimacy, protect the Palestinians, end the occupation of all Arab lands, stop settlement policies, lift the unjust siege on the Gaza Strip, and solve the refugee problem fairly and in accordance with United Nations resolutions. Her Excellency stressed the importance of ending impunity and ensuring accountability for all those responsible for the violations committed against the Palestinian people.
