Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Israeli raids and missiles from Gaza… and warning sirens in Tel Aviv

Israel’s army spokesman and media confirmed that sirens were heard in Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, Givatayim and Beersheba, as well as in Sderot, Ashkelon and settlements around the Gaza Strip.

And Sky News Arabia sources reported that “new and intense bursts of missiles were launched from the Gaza Strip towards nearby settlements, injuring 3 Israeli settlers”.

Israeli military sources said hundreds of rockets were launched from Gaza, most of which were intercepted by Israeli defense systems.

And the Ministry of Health in Gaza confirmed earlier Wednesday that the total death toll in the Strip had risen to 21 dead and 64 injured, following continued Israeli attacks on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Two Israeli military sources said Israel first used the “David’s Sling” system for medium-range air and missile defense on Wednesday.

David’s Sling is a system designed to shoot down rockets launched at a distance of 100 to 200 kilometers and is part of the Israeli missile shield which already includes Iron Dome.

Talk about stopping the fighting

• Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen announced on Wednesday evening that Israel was studying an Egyptian proposal for a ceasefire with the Gaza Strip.

• The minister explained, according to the correspondent of “Sky News Arabia” and news agencies, that there is a possibility of reaching an agreement on a ceasefire “within hours”.

• Egyptian media reported on Cairo’s role in brokering an “immediate” ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Palestinians.
