Xbox will celebrate its 25th anniversary on Sunday, November 15, and Game Pass is filling the week with new additions. Six games arrive between November 10 and November 12, and eight older titles join the Game Pass Essential library on the anniversary itself, according to Xbox Wire.

Pure Xbox published a roundup of the week on November 8 and noted that Microsoft may add more titles as the celebration goes on. The dates and tiers below come from Xbox Wire’s November 3 announcement.

November 10

Three games arrive on day one. Football Manager 27 Console comes to Cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC, in Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Warhammer Survivors, an officially licensed bullet-heaven game from Auroch Digital made in partnership with the Vampire Survivors developers, arrives on the same tiers and platforms, including handheld. Tanuki: Pon’s Summer is also available in Ultimate and PC Game Pass across Cloud, console and PC. The PC version of Football Manager 27 has been in Game Pass since November 3.

November 11 and 12

Hope in the City, a mystery adventure about a teenager investigating her parents’ disappearance, arrives on November 11 in Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Thronefall, a minimalist strategy game in which players build a kingdom by day and defend it by night, joins the same day and is also in Game Pass Premium. John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando, a four-player co-op zombie survival game, follows on November 12 in Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass.

Game Pass Essential on November 15

The anniversary day itself brings eight older games to the Game Pass Essential library: Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Gears of War: Judgement, Halo: Spartan Assault, Perfect Dark, Viva Piñata and Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise. Xbox Wire lists most of them for Cloud and console only, while Halo: Spartan Assault is also available on PC.

For readers following the franchise, Eastern Herald recently reported on the free RAAM character and Season 2 plans for Gears of War: E-Day, which also marks 20 years of the Gears series.

What to know before you play

Availability depends on subscription tier. Several of the week’s additions are limited to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, while Premium and Essential members get a smaller selection. Xbox Wire also lists games leaving the service on November 15, including GoldenEye 007, Wreckfest and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. Football Manager 26 leaves on November 10, according to a separate report.

Eastern Herald has not played the games, and dates and tiers can change.
