The court sent the deputy governor of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug under arrest in the case of a bribe

A court in Arkhangelsk has chosen a restraint measure for the deputy governor of the Nenets district, suspected of having received a bribe in the amount of 2 million rubles, in the form of detention. This was reported in the regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
According to the department, the deputy governor of the Nenets Okrug is suspected of a crime under the article on large-scale bribery by an official (part 6 of article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The ICR Investigative Committee added that with respect to the employee subordinate to the suspect, who acted as an intermediary to obtain funds, the investigator chose a measure of restraint in the form a written commitment not to leave.
