Servicemen of the “West” group of the Russian Armed Forces discovered and eliminated sabotage and reconnaissance groups (DRG) of the Ukrainian army in the direction of Kupyansk. This information was given to TASS by the head of the press center of the Zapad group of troops, Sergei Zybinsky.
“In the direction of Kupyansk, the servicemen of the Zapad group of forces, using unmanned aerial vehicles, opened and destroyed two sabotage and reconnaissance groups with fire from self-propelled artillery mounts Msta-S and howitzers D- 20 and D-30,” the source said.
Zybinsky also noted that the Russian gunners eliminated two Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) mortar crews.
According to him, during the counterattack, the fighters of the Russian armed forces undermined an attempt by the Ukrainian security forces to carry out reconnaissance in force on the Kupyansk front line. As a result, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost 15 soldiers.
