Voluntary activity means voluntary activity in the form of the free performance of work or the provision of services. A volunteer has the right to carry out his activities individually or as part of a voluntary organization, as well as to receive:

– from the organizer of voluntary activities information on the aims, objectives and content of the voluntary activities he carries out, as well as information, advice and methodological support in the volumes and forms established by these organizations;

– support in the form of food, uniforms and special clothing, equipment, personal protective equipment, payment for communication services, insurance premiums, travel to and from the destination, or reimbursement of expenses incurred by the volunteer for the purchase of these goods or services.

A volunteer has the right to receive encouragement and awards for volunteer work, including through federal, state, and municipal competitions and programs.

Compensation for damage to the life or health of a volunteer is paid out of the federal budget, if the damage to life or health is caused in the following cases: participation in the liquidation of situations of urgency and their consequences; assistance in providing medical care to citizens suffering from illnesses that pose a danger to others; participation in the search for missing persons.

A charitable organization is liable for actions contrary to its purposes, as well as to the aforementioned federal law. The organization that has made the decision to register a charity can issue a written warning to it. And in case of repeated warning, the charity can be liquidated.
