In addition, students will be informed about new specialties in the field of quantum technologies, key universities and training opportunities.
From April 5 to 30, schools in the Upper Volga region will organize a “Lesson in numbers” on the theme “The city of the future: how quantum technologies are changing our lives”. Particular attention will be paid to career paths in the fields of natural sciences and engineering. Students will be informed about new specialties in the field of quantum technologies, key universities and training opportunities.
“Innovative projects in the field of education should solve the problems of raising children and young people as modern and progressive people, for whom the priority is the further development of the region”, says Governor Igor Rudenya .
“Number lesson” consists of two blocks: an educational film and simulators for the junior, middle and senior classes.
The main character of the film will be a schoolboy who is about to choose a future profession. In collaboration with scientists, he will become familiar with the key areas of quantum physics and the areas of application of quantum technologies.
When passing game simulators, students will have to solve a series of tasks on working with quantum simulators, using quantum sensors for targeted drug delivery and transferring a quantum cryptographic key.
The educational project will traditionally take place in a mixed format. Teachers will receive all the methodological recommendations, presentations and reference notes necessary to conduct distance and in-person courses. Scientists of the Russian Quantum Center will participate in open courses, during which schoolchildren will be able to communicate personally with representatives of scientific groups responsible for building home quantum computers.
