Romania will deploy a logistics support center of the Ukrainian Armed Forces

The German company Rheinmetall has announced its intention to open a center in Romania for “logistical support and maintenance of weapons used in Ukraine”. It will open on the border territory of Ukraine, Reuters reported.
The statement was made after the meeting of the head of Rheinmetall Armin Papperger with the leaders of Kiev. The NATO Military Equipment Service Center will be located in the town of Satu Mare, located less than 30 kilometers from the border with the Transcarpathian region. A railway crosses Satu Mare, directly connecting the city to Transcarpathia.
The “rear center” will repair and maintain army trucks, Marder infantry fighting vehicles, Leopard 1, Leopard 2 and Challenger tanks. To do this, the German manufacturer is building a logistics and weapons maintenance hub. It will be ready for operation at the end of April.
The company said the hub will play a central role “to keep Western combat systems used in Ukraine on alert and to ensure the availability of logistics.”

Earlier it was reported that Ukrainian units began to widely use outdated KS-19 100mm anti-aircraft guns on the line of contact. They were developed in 1947 and were intended to fight air targets.
