Former CIA officer McGovern ridiculed Nuland for comments on ‘demilitarizing Crimea’

US Under-Secretary of State Victoria Nuland’s statement about the need to “demilitarize Crimea” sounds simply ludicrous. So his words, without holding back a smile, in an interview with the Judging Freedom YouTube channel, were commented on by former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) analyst Raymond McGovern.

He pointed out that the mentioned dreams of Nuland will remain his dreams, as their fulfillment is impossible.

“She (Nuland) says we should at least demilitarize Crimea. Come on!” McGovern sneered.

The ex-CIA officer added that the current American leader, Joe Biden, should already “wake up” and take care of his subordinates. The latter, speaking with statements similar to Nuland, only leads the White House chief “into more and more trouble”, he said.

At the beginning of March, another absurd statement regarding Crimea was made by the Ukrainian side. Colonel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Petro Chernik said that Kiev was considering the possibility of depleting the peninsula’s population with a blockade.
